NIST AI Risk Management Framework – Managing artificial intelligence risks
Managing risks related to artificial intelligence
The NIST AI Risk Management Framework is a voluntary framework designed to help organizations that develop, deploy, or use artificial intelligence systems manage their risks and foster trustworthy AI. It addresses reliability, safety, resilience, transparency, explainability, privacy, and bias, among other dimensions. NIST is currently working on its evolution and also offers a profile specific to generative AI.
It is particularly relevant for companies using generative AI, copilots, decision-making systems, or AI agents, as well as for regulated sectors and organizations where an AI error can have significant consequences.
The approach makes it possible to inventory systems, classify their risks, determine responsibilities, establish controls, and structure monitoring throughout their life cycle.
Indicative effort: 2 to 5 months to establish the initial framework; 60 to 180 internal person-hours; approximately 100 to 250 Quantum Beyond hours.
Quantum Beyond can integrate the NIST AI RMF with ISO/IEC 42001, AI Governance Office, AI Onboarding, QKS, IAM, and cybersecurity in order to turn principles into operational mechanisms.
The outcome is an organization able to make greater use of AI while knowing which systems it uses, which risks it accepts, which limits it imposes, and how it will detect deviations.
The strategic nature of our engagements demands impeccable confidentiality.
All information about your organization, along with the documents, exchanges, and projects entrusted to Quantum Beyond, is handled with the strictest confidentiality. It is never published or used as a reference without your explicit authorization.
