Your mission

You will determine whether artificial intelligence systems can be used in a sufficiently reliable, controlled, and responsible manner in their real-world contexts of use. You will establish the evaluation methods, acceptability thresholds, and monitoring mechanisms suited to the potential consequences of their decisions.

Your work will give executives independent assurance regarding the capabilities, limitations, and risks of the solutions evaluated.

Key responsibilities

• Classify AI systems according to their use and level of risk.
• Define validation criteria and protocols.
• Design test scenarios, datasets, and conditions.
• Evaluate the quality, consistency, and reliability of results.
• Measure error rates and operational limitations.
• Examine biases and variations in performance.
• Assess the explainability and traceability of decisions.
• Define confidence thresholds and conditions of use.
• Review human oversight and intervention mechanisms.
• Assess the consequences of erroneous decisions.
• Define the criteria for refusal, escalation, and shutdown.
• Design post-deployment monitoring.
• Determine drift and degradation indicators.
• Take part in managing incidents involving AI.
• Document the capabilities, limitations, and restrictions of systems.
• Produce independent opinions for executives and governance committees.

Profile sought

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in AI, advanced analytics, assurance, risk management, or systems validation.
• Hands-on experience evaluating models or decision-making systems.
• A solid command of testing and validation methods.
• An understanding of probability, performance metrics, and bias.
• The ability to connect technical limitations to operational consequences.
• Intellectual independence, rigor, and critical judgment.
• Excellent documentation and knowledge-translation skills.
• Professional French and English.

Assets

• Advanced education in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in model validation in a regulated sector.
• Knowledge of AI risk management frameworks.
• Experience in algorithmic auditing.
• Knowledge of generative and agentic systems.
• A master's degree or doctorate in a relevant field.
